For Quest Thermal Group, Ouroboros Space and Defense has been one of those rare finds in the sea of suppliers. Over the years working together, Ouroboros has become not just a supplier to us but an innovation partner. We’re continually pushing the envelope on what is possible and needed a fabrication partner willing to work well outside of the typical comfort zone. Nate Bourgeois (owner and CEO) is an exceptional welder and has worked closely with us developing methods of welding thin materials. In space it’s all about mass and together we have developed thin wall vacuum shells for Mars down to 10mil (0.01”) thick. Our system is about 1/10th the mass of current state-of-the-art systems. Nate and Ouroboros is the only one with the commitment and fortitude to help us define the new state-of-the-art. We look forward to many years of this partnership!
